Sabah Convention Bureau (SCB) is at The Meetings Show Asia Pacific (TMS APAC) 2026 with a call to planners: choose the East Malaysian state for nature, culture and sustainability.

Positioning itself as a “nature-meets-business events destination”, the CVB sees itself a good fit for incentive travel, association meetings and corporate events that “seek meaningful and transformative experiences beyond conventional city settings”.

Awareness and support

“Visitors to the Sabah booth can look forward to immersive destination storytelling highlighting Sabah’s unique biodiversity, cultural richness, and community-based experiences. The Bureau will also spotlight curated incentive programmes and sustainable event concepts aligned with global ESG priorities, encouraging planners to create purposeful events that leave positive legacies for local communities,” a SCB spokesperson told M&C Asia.

Beyond driving awareness of Sabah’s nature-led edge for business events, SCB is also highlighting support programmes for international planners, experiential team-building activities and updates on the expanding business events ecosystem.

Sabah up and coming

Established under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah not too long ago in 2024, SCB is charged with driving both sustainable growth and global competitiveness.

As of 2025, SCB has supported more than 90 business events across diverse sectors, generating an estimated RM118.3 million in economic impact for Sabah.

Looking ahead, SCB aims to attract an increasing number of international events, contributing to trade growth, investment opportunities, job creation, and human capital development – further strengthening Sabah’s position as an emerging global business events hub.

Event planners and industry partners attending TMS APAC 2026 are invited to connect with SCB at booth F16.
