At The Meetings Show Asia Pacific 2026 (TMS APAC), Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) returns with what it believes defines the destination best: authenticity served with purpose.

“When Sarawak shows up at global platforms like TMS APAC, the intention goes beyond simply participating in the industry conversation. It is about bringing the spirit of the destination with it and ensuring that when people experience Sarawak, they also experience the communities, cultures and creativity that make the destination truly unique,” the CVB said.

This year, the stand brings back its community product showcase in collaboration with SMEs and local makers.

In this way, BESarawak hopes to demonstrate how planners may incorporate locally crafted products to spread the economic impact and benefits of business events beyond convention halls.

“In many ways, the activation captures the essence of Sarawak’s approach to business events. It is about creating memorable experiences while also creating opportunities. By bringing community products onto an international stage, Sarawak is demonstrating how business events can become platforms for visibility, inclusion and shared growth,” BESarawak said.

Flavours that tell a story

Visitors may once again be lured to the Sarawak stand by the aroma of Sarawak laksa, a savoury noodle dish that proved a hit at last year’s show.

Beyond feeding delegates, traditional fare like Sarawak laksa serves as “a conversation starter, a way of welcoming delegates through taste and storytelling”.

Attendees may also expect to be served a version of the Sarawak tuak, a traditional fermented beverage, reimagined with the use of ingredients native to Sarawak.

“Our creative interpretation highlights how traditional social drinks can evolve through local botanicals and flavours, offering a refreshing perspective on how culture, creativity and hospitality can come together in a single glass,” BESarawak said.
