Spain’s Meliá Hotels International has signed a management agreement for Meliá Sentul Resort & Convention Center, propping up the Bogor Regency township as a business events destination beyond Jakarta.

Scheduled to open in 2028, the new-built property will be Meliá’s seventh hotel in Indonesia and its first in Sentul, a fast-growing integrated township located about an hour’s drive from Jakarta.

As Sentul emerges on the leisure radar for its cooler climate, green hills and expanding infrastructure, it is also shaping up as a business district with improving connectivity and proximity to the Sentul International Convention Center.

Positioned as a dedicated meetings and events venue, the resort will feature a 1,160sqm ballroom capable of hosting large conferences, exhibitions and banquets. This will be complemented by 15 flexible meeting rooms with a combined area of 1,640sqm, enabling a wide range of event formats from board meetings and incentives to multi-day conventions.

Beyond its convention facilities, the property will offer a full suite of accommodation, dining and leisure amenities to support residential conferences and destination events.

Plans include an all-day dining restaurant, specialty dining venues, a rooftop bar and lounge, as well as wellness facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, gym, spa and kids' club.

The project is the result of Meliá Hotels International’s partnership with the Saraswanti Group.
