Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has joined hands with Visa International, T2P, and Central Group to launch the “Thailand MICE Visa Prepaid Card” as part of the “Thailand MICE Privileges” marketing campaign.

Targeting MICE travellers, businesspersons and SME operators, the card will award cardholders special privileges in accommodation, shopping, dining, transport, and meeting packages in Thailand.

Partner benefits include a 17% discount for accommodation at Centara Hotels & Resorts in Thailand, as well as up to 60% off transport services and complimentary airport luggage storage twice a year.

Cardholders will also be given access to TCEB’s industry updates, business opportunities, marketing activities and business events.

TCEB president Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya estimated that there will be 30,000 holders of the Thailand MICE Visa Prepaid Card by 2025, boosting spending per head per trip of MICE travellers by 5%. Targeting 34 million MICE travellers – combining both domestic and overseas profiles – spending revenue will be expected to reach THB 200 billion (US$6 billion).

Issued by T2P and regulated by the Bank of Thailand, the card complies with global data security standards set by VISA and can be used everywhere the VISA card is accepted. Users may add value to the card via the Deep Pocket app, available on both iOS and Android platforms.
