Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre is expected to strengthen its
facilities with a new hall currently being constructed. It is expected
to be the largest in the MENA region, scheduled to be completed before
October 2022.
The hall is being built on 1,000 sqm of land in the marina area
opposite Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Its completion will
enable Abu Dhabi to bolster its offerings in advanced facilities and
equipment that meet international standards.
According to Ahmed Al Mansoori, director of engineering services at
Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), the hall is being built
using a solid metal frame covered in aluminium plates that will provide
flexible reconfigurations to cater to events of various scales and
industry types. It will also facilitate ease of entry and loading via
gates on all sides of the hall, accessible through roads surrounding it
from various directions.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, MD and Group CEO of ADNEC said,
“Construction work on the new hall, which is the first of its kind in
the region, is progressing at a rapid pace, and it will become a
valuable asset to Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. It will support
our efforts to consolidate Abu Dhabi’s position as a global destination
for business tourism and leisure tourism.”
Its construction is aligned with ADNEC’s plan in 2021 to upgrade the
centre’s facilities. With the addition of the new hall, the centre will
increase overall indoor exhibition area by 12% to reach 92,000 sqm. It
will increase overall centre floor area to more than 151,000 sqm.
