Singapore is set to host the Singapore MICE Forum (SMF), which is
scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 July 2023 to bring together
industry professionals and leaders from the region, along with expert
speakers from the global MICE industry.
Themed The Great Reset, the SMF is organised by the Singapore
Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers
(SACEOS) with the support of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
The SMF will help to bolster Singapore's position as a leading and
innovative hub for the global business events industry, said Richard
Ireland, president of SACEOS. He also expressed his confidence that the
SMF will set the stage for The Great Reset of the MICE industry, as MICE
events in Singapore and the region continue to make a resounding
comeback.
“Singapore’s MICE industry has made a strong recovery, and the
Singapore MICE Forum is the perfect launchpad for new ideas and
partnerships to ride on that momentum," said Yap Chin Siang, deputy
chief executive of STB. "The return of SMF also affirms Singapore’s
reputation as an ideal hub for the global MICE industry, where
innovation and collaborations are made possible.”
During the event, the inaugural Singapore MICE Awards will be
presented to celebrate and recognise the spirit of resilience,
innovation and progress achieved by the industry in the past two years.
The forum will also feature the Singapore MICE Challenge, aimed at
cultivating and uncovering the future of MICE talent. Students from
Singapore’s institutes of higher learning will create and explore
revolutionary approaches in curating an event through purposeful
technology adoption, reinventing audience experience while ensuring
sustainable practices are in place.
