The recently held Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) exceeded expectations with the highest recorded number of participants in its seven years of history, of which 48% hold senior management positions.

Held over two days in July, the industry event attracted 427 professionals across 26 countries with 78 participants connecting remotely through live online streaming.

A particularly well-received addition to the programme this year was the 'Vision 2050' presentations by students, interns and young professionals during the Opening Ceremony, which gave industry veterans food for thought and won standing ovation from the audience.

Commented first-timer to the event, Anna Lim, events manager of BI Worldwide, "This makes it very compelling and interesting for those of us who have been in the industry for a few years and more. It gives us a fresh perspective to look at what we have been doing."

President of SACEOS, Janet Tan-Collis, said, "We are so delighted to have received some strong support, not just from Singapore, but from industry leaders and professionals around the world. This again attests to our vision of leading this region in professional development and international accreditation excellence. The tri-factor strategy of deploying SMF, Asia Business Meet and Singapore MICE Challenge simultaneously has allowed for stronger networking inspired by cohesive learning for both the business and future talent. We are very excited to exceed this year's benchmark at SMF 2018."

SMF2018 will be held July 26-27, 2018.
