The entire island can be hired for events of up to 300 guests.
After a AU$100 million (US$71.7 million) redevelopment, Daydream Island on Australia's Great Barrier Reef is ready for business once again - including business events.

The 4.5-star Daydream Island is one of 74 islands that make up the Whitsundays. The Daydream Island Resort, in particular, comes with 277 rooms and suites, as well as a Living Reef Underwater Observatory, private dining, outdoor cinema, as well as a range of event spaces for delegates.

For example, there is Infinity, which is one of three restaurants on Daydream Island. The restaurant alone can accommodate up to 200 people seated and 250 for cocktail functions. For super private events, there is also the Teppanyaki suite, which can accommodate 10 people. Elsewhere, there is the Eclipse Room and Terrace, which overlooks the western part of the island onto the beach. This space is accommodate up to 180 people seated and 200 for cocktail functions. Finally, the Open Air Cinema Lawn has a 13-metre cinema screen and can accommodate 180 people seated and 200 for cocktail functions.

If these venues are not enough, the entire island, in fact, can be hired for events of up to 300 guests.

In terms of experiences, Daydream Island Resort's Underwater Observatory can be hired to host a sit-down dinner for up to 30 guests. Events can also be organised for a resident marine biologist to be a guest speaker. Groups of six can also go on snorkelling expeditions with the marine biologist.

Daydream Island is just 30 minutes away from Hamilton Island via a boat transfer, which in turn has direct flight services from Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
