Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra comes with 40,000sqft of indoor and outdoor banqueting space, as well as a 14,000sqft pillar-less hall.

A hotel and convention centre with a UNESCO World Heritage Site right around the corner - that's the hook that the new Taj Hotel & Convention Centre in Agra, India, hopes to sink into potential MICE travellers.

Recently, the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) introduced the iconic Taj brand in Agra with the opening of the Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra. Spread over 4.5 acres, the property consists of 239 rooms and is within walking distance to the world-famous Taj Mahal.

In terms of meeting facilities, the Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra comes with 40,000sqft of indoor and outdoor banqueting space, as well as a 14,000sqft pillar-less hall - one of the largest in North India.

The property is not short on food and beverage offerings, either. The hotel offers multiple dining options, such as Palato, an all-day diner; Daawat-e-Nawaab, an Indian specialty restaurant; as well as two lounges, the Liquid Lounge and Tea Lounge. There is even a rooftop bar, called Infini - The Sky Lounge, that provides stunning views of the Taj Mahal.

Rohit Khosla, executive vice president of operations, north and west India, IHCL, said, "Agra is renowned world over for being one of the most culturally rich cities. Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra will now offer spectacular views of the Taj Mahal and promises to be a great draw for both, domestic as well as international travellers."
