The Ritz Carlton Xi’an has opened doors in the business-centric Gao Xin District.
When it comes to China, Beijing and Shanghai are low-hanging fruit. A country China's size, however, has an entire orchard worth of experiential crops for incentive traveLlers to harvest. One lesser-known destination that's turning heads, for example, is Xi'an. A historic city that's best known for its 2,000-year-old Terracotta Warriors, it has just become more appealing to incentive groups thanks to The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an, which opened its doors this month in Xi'an's business-centric Gao Xin District.

Featuring interior design elements created by local artisans, traditional Chinese pipa music, and locally inspired drinks and snacks, The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an is a tribute to the history of Xi'an, which is the ancient capital of central-northwest China's Shaanxi province and the eastern end of the ancient "Silk Road" that connected Eastern with Western civilization thousands of years ago.
 
Along with 283 guest rooms and suites, the hotel features a club floor with a club lounge overlooking downtown Xi'an; five restaurants and bars, including a teppanyaki restaurant with six live cooking stations and a rooftop bar boasting 180-degree views of the city; a fitness centre and yoga studio; a pool; a spa specializing in ancient Chinese treatments and ingredients; and over 2,787 sqm of meeting and event space, including an outdoor garden and interactive live kitchens for culinary events and activities.
