The Marina Mandarin Singapore is now spotting a new name - Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, Singapore.

SINGAPORE - The Marina Mandarin Singapore hotel has been rebranded by property group United Industrial Corporation (UIC) and will now be known as Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, Singapore.

The rebranding, which took effect on Jan 1, comes after Marina Mandarin Singapore and parts of the Marina Square complex were subjects of a S$675.3 million takeover in April last year.

UIC had bought out Finnegan Investments and Mackmoor, as well as OUE, with the whole Marina Square mall now jointly owned by UIC and its parent UOL Group.

Under a hotel management agreement, the Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay will be run by Pan Pacific Hospitality, a wholly-owned unit of UOL Group, said UIC.

An agreement between UIC's indirect subsidiary, Aquamarina Hotel, and a subsidiary of OUE Limited reportedly stated that the latter will cease operating the Marina Mandarin Singapore on Dec 31 last year.
