SINGAPORE - Following their launch of 'My Millennium' in March 2019, Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) has updated their guest reward programme to now award corporate bookings with loyalty points when travel agents book for their customers, as well as for individual corporate travellers.

Now, all travel agents have to do when making corporate bookings for their customers, is to update the My Millennium membership numbers on the respective Global Distribution Systems (GDS) systems in order to receive My Millennium points.

The same goes for individual corporate travellers.

Currently, My Millennium Guest Loyalty Programme is based on members earning My Points from every qualifying hotel stay at over 110 participating hotels across Asia-Pacific, the UK, the USA and the Middle East. Guests earn 10 My Points for every US$1 spent and can use points on a number of rewards, including room upgrades, amenities and services, F&B discounts, celebration treats, exclusive experiences and shopping vouchers provided by likeminded brands.

According to MHR, providing corporate travellers the ability to earn loyalty points while booking through GDS channels provides the hotelier brand a strong competitive advantage and ensures bookers feel valued and rewarded.

"We have long standing relationships with our Travel Management Companies (TMC) partners and we wanted to provide this enhancement as a step to further strengthen our partnership and grow the share of corporate business by awarding loyalty benefits through this channel," said Saurabh Prakash, group vice president, digital marketing, loyalty & distribution.

To further grow market share in the corporate traveller sector, the MHR sales team will be liaising with key procurement contacts in their corporate accounts in support of agreed rates and programmes. All supplier relations contacts at MHR's Travel Management Companies partners will also be made aware of this enhancement and ensure all teams convey this news across their networks.

"This is an important message for both our individual leisure guests and our corporate bookers," shared Clive Harrington, chief commercial officer at MHR.

"We are proud to be enhancing the benefits for this valued group so soon after the launch of My Millennium, building on the programme's initial success and ensuring all parties enjoy the best benefits in return for their loyalty."
