Venues with a view
Being situated along the white sands of Tanjong Said Bay sure has its perks - unobstructed views aside, the unique venues on offer provide a chance for planners to get creative.

Dining on the green is made possible at the signature Hole 17, located at the resort's award-winning golf course. With its ability to cater up to 70 persons for a round-table setting, the venue is perfect for intimate dinners under the stars.

Tucked away on a hillside, One Tree Hill offers a breathtaking alternative, accommodating up to 200 persons at round tables. After a short buggy ride, the trail opens to a forest clearing, with unobstructed views of the South China Sea.

Meet for good
As a sustainable events operator, the resort offers a 'Meet for Good' incentive programme allowing socially conscious groups to give back to the environment and community. For a start, the impact of every event is quantified, and all sustainability needs from venues to vendors are addressed.

Delegates can look forward to engaging activities such as the sea turtle release (based on availability), which aims to recover the population of the species in Bintan through the rescue, creating awareness and having conservation partnerships. Groups can participate by feeding the hatchlings - kept till they are three months old at maximum - and, once they are old enough, keeping them safe from predators as they make the walk from sand to sea, where their natural habitat awaits.

At the time of writing, Angsana Bintan has already released about 3,000 sea turtles. It is in the midst of constructing a larger sea turtle pool at next-door sister property, Cassia Bintan.

Creative dining experiences
For intimate groups up to 30, don't miss out on the Kelong Dinner available all-year-round (except the monsoon season). When night falls, guests are escorted down the beach where a bonfire is lit, signifying good fortune while acting as a navigational aid for the return from the sea.

A 'pocai' (traditional fisherman's boat) takes guests to the fisherman's house where a medley of fresh traditional dishes awaits - think kepiting (stone crab with chilli or black pepper sauce); iga bakar (grilled short rib) and ikan segar (grilled, braised or fried fish of the day).

Alternatively, head down to XANA, the newest beachfront address featuring pulsating live entertainment and a sumptuous spread of international cuisine, which can be served buffet-style or as a set.

Book a minimum of 15-20 materialised rooms for stays up till December 15, 2017 and enjoy three/four complimentary privileges including an upgrade to an Island Suite, free-flow soft drinks and crackers throughout the meeting, two hours of telematch activities, CSR activity and 60-minute spa treatments.
