Northstar Travel Media's two meetings brands - Meetings & Conventions (M&C) and Successful Meetings - have emerged the top media for both print and digital across all planner categories - association, corporate and third-party, and "small, medium and large" - in the latest STR research.

Conducted every two years, DestinationMAP2017 reports on the factors impacting meeting planners' venue and destination decision-making, including where they favour and why, serving as an important resource for Destination Management Organisations (DMOs).

The finding was based on randomly surveying nearly 1,000 planners in North America who were asked what media and events they prefer, and whether media - print and digital - plays a role in influencing their decision-making process. 

In the survey, M&C came in top, while Successful Meetings emerged runner-up.
