M&C Asia Connections, held this week from August 20 to 21 in Singapore, hosts highly-qualified meeting planners from North America, Europe and Asia.

International meetings professionals from North America, Europe and Asia are gathering in Singapore this week for Northstar Travel Group's invitation-only event M&C Asia Connections (MCAC), from August 20 to 21.

The ongoing two-day event connects highly-qualified meeting planners who are sourcing programmes in Asia with elite Asian MICE providers through a series of one-to-one appointments, in-depth expert education sessions and a host of unique experiential networking activities.

Highlights of the event include insights from a panel featuring leading event planners, unique team building experience at The Alkaff Mansion, a historic 20th-century colonial bungalow, and prestigious awards celebrating Asia's most influential travel suppliers.

Meeting planners also have the chance to go on a pre- and post-event familiarisation trip around Singapore that covers unique social and adventure activities on Sentosa Island, an exclusive sunset cocktail cruise at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, Singapore and a specially-curated tour highlighting Singapore's development, transformation and sustainability.

The itinerary will also feature site inspections at leading hotels and resorts including Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Orchard Hotel Singapore and The Outpost Hotel, Sentosa, Resorts World Sentosa, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore and InterContinental Singapore.

David Blansfield, executive vice president of Northstar Meetings Group, observed that the event responds to the "unprecedented demand among the planners we serve, not only for Asia meetings and incentives, but for the wealth of ideas and inspiration that our Asia-based MICE industry partners are contributing to the global meetings industry overall."

"We're excited to be contributing to that dynamic through our brands - most notably M&C Asia, which is headquartered in Singapore, as well as business events like MCAC 2019. Ultimately, our business is about bringing planners together with the MICE industry suppliers who are most suited to their needs. This exciting event is a perfect illustration of that."

Irene Chua, vice president Asia of Northstar Travel Group, commented that "Northstar has a consistent track record of 80 successful events in 13 countries annually. MCAC 2019 comes at an opportune time, considering the vast, burgeoning opportunities in the region. We are looking to ride that momentum to even greater heights and forge better, more lasting connections between our participants."
